Grading Policy: All grading will be on a scale of 100; however, different assessments carry different weights.  Letter grades are assigned per school policy.  Each 9 weeks’ grade is worth 40% of the overall grade, and the Final Exam at the end of the semester is also worth 20%.

Grade weights per 9 weeks:

Classwork/Homework 25%

Labs/Projects 30%

Tests/Quizzes 45%

Note:  Simply adding all of a student’s points together will give a grade that does not reflect the weighted system.

Supplies:

  • 3-ring binder (1.5 inches)
  • Black/Blue Pens
  • College Ruled Notebook paper
  • 5 Tab Dividers
  • Number #2 Pencils (Not Mechanical)
  • Charged Chromebook

Classroom Rules:

1.  BE READY -  Come to class ready to learn.  If you do not want to learn today, pretend you want to learn.  Either way, we will have a classroom full of students learning or pretending they are learning.

2.  BE RESPECTFUL - Respect!  Respect everyone around you and yourself. Permission must be granted to do anything.  Always raise your hand to ask for permission to perform an action or answer a question.

3.  BE RESPONSIBLE -  Take responsibility for your work.  Always do your best, 110%.  No Excuses!

Procedures:

  • Students are expected to come to class with the required materials for that day.  Bring the notebook, paper, and something to write with EVERY DAY.
  • Students are expected to be in their seat by the tardy bell.
  • Sharpen pencils at the beginning of the class period.
  • All trash will be thrown away at the end of class.
  • Keep your hands off items on Mrs. White’s desks and on the walls.
  • No edible items or drinks in class. (Water in a clear, plastic bottle is OK.)
  • Make-up work is due two days after the day of arrival from being absent.
  • A verbal warning will be issued for any action requiring discipline, second violation can warrant a call to administration and/or a discipline referral.
  • Any action can result in immediate referral or removal from the classroom at the discretion of the teacher.
