Students will access course information by clicking on Modules and/or Assignments.  Students will need their student number and password for NCEdcloud. If you have questions about the student login, please email me.

PARENTS:  Use the following directions to create a Canvas Observer Account

  • Have your student(s) Generate a Pairing Code (this will be different for each student).
  • Go to https://fcschools.instructure.com/login/canvas (bookmark this site so that you can easily access your Observer dashboard for your student(s).
  • Click on Parent of a Canvas User? in the upper right-hand corner of the window.
  • Complete the required information in the window, which will include inputting the student Pairing Code. Multiple students can be added.
  • Go to the Dashboard to see your student(s)' courses.
  • Parents can sign into this account to easily access their student's courses within Canvas.
  • What can parents view as an Observer?

Word Processing Advanced Business Documents - Module 1

Description:

This module is designed to teach the advanced skills in word processing and document formatting for advanced business documents such as: agendas, minutes, research reports and resumes.  Emphasis is on daily use of a computer system and appropriate software to provide integrated training through a learn/practice/sustain/assess plan of skill building.

 Presentation Basics- Module 2

Description:

This module is designed to teach the basic skills in multimedia presentations. Emphasis is on daily use of a computer system and appropriate software to provide integrated training through a learn/practice/sustain/assess plan of skill building.

Presentation Techniques- Module 3

Description:

This module is designed to teach the techniques and skills needed to make a presentation.  Communication skills are a key component of this module.  Emphasis is on daily use of a computer system and appropriate software to provide integrated training through a learn/practice/sustain/assess plan of skill building.

Spreadsheet Basics and Formulas - Module 4

Description:

This module is designed to teach the basic skills in spreadsheets and utilizing formulas for everyday use in the business community. Emphasis is on daily use of a computer system and appropriate software to provide integrated training through a learn/practice/sustain/assess plan of skill building.

WEEK 1-  Welcome Back to School!!!  Introductions, School Expectations, Class Procedures, Drills and Acceptable Use Policy.

WEEK 2-  We will begin to work in Module 1 in our Standard Course of Study (Word Processing- Advanced Documents). The students will learn which documents are appropriate for a given business situation.

WEEK 3-  This week we will continue working in Module 1 in our Standard Course of Study (Word Processing- Advanced Documents).  We will also be learning about the Purpose & Components of an AGENDA.

WEEK 4-  As we continue working in Module 1 in our Standard Course of Study (Word Processing- Advanced Documents), we will review the Purpose & Components of MINUTES for business meetings.

WEEK 5-  This week continue working in Module 1 in our Standard Course of Study (Word Processing- Advanced Documents).  The students will learn how to create a business meeting AGENDA.

WEEK 6-  As we continue working in Module 1, our class will learn how to create a business meeting MINUTES (guided practice & individual practice).

WEEK 7-  This week in Module 1 of our Standard Course of Study, we will learn about the Purpose and Components of a Research Report.

WEEK 8-  This week our students will learn how to format a Research Report through teacher-guided practice and an individual class activity.

WEEK 9-  Next week, our class will learn how to create and format a Table of Contents by doing a guided practice activity and an individual assignment.

WEEK 10-  This week we will begin Module 2 in our Standard Course of Study (Presentation Software). The students will begin with learning Presentation Basics.

WEEK 11-  During this week, we will review the (3) Types of Basic Presentations (Educational, Narrative, & Persuasive).

WEEK 12-  As we continue working in Module 2, our class will learn about the different methods of Delivering a Point Point Presentation.

WEEK 13-  This upcoming week our students will review the Steps for Creating an Effective Power Point Presentation.

WEEK 14-  As we continue working in Module 2, our class will work on creating an individual Power Point Presentation.

WEEK 15-  This week we will begin Module 3 in our Standard Course of Study (Spreadsheet Basics).
