Course Description:

Sixth grade language arts class is designed to increase communications skills through reading, writing, speaking, and the study of the English language.

This year you can expect to read a variety of fiction and non-fiction including novels, short stories, and poetry. We will model  different writing styles.  Writing assignments will include journal writing, essays, open ended question responses and creative pieces.  Vocabulary, reading comprehension, spelling, and grammar assignments will also be an important part of this class.
