Welcome to the 2021/2022 school year and the band program at Terrell Lane Middle School.

  1. GRADING

The grade for each nine weeks’ period in band is broken down as follows:

 

60% Cumulative---TESTS AND QUIZZES

40% Formative--class participation

(100% TOTAL)

 

Test and Quiz procedure:

 

  1. Playing Quizzes will be given each Thursday during class time.  These will be short excerpts from the music that is being worked on during class.
  2. The assignment for the quiz will be announced on Friday.  These assignments will be posted on the white board in the front of the classroom by grade level.
  3. Students will be asked to practice the assignment during the week at home in order to play for the class.

 

Class Participation procedure:

 

  1. Students in the band program at Terrell Lane must follow four simple rules 
    1. Show Respect
    2. Be Responsible
    3. Play when told
    4. Talk when told
