This class is designed for a three-fold purpose:
1) Prepare Franklinton High School students for rigorous college-level mathematics.
2)   Prepare  Franklinton High School students for the mathematics on the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) and the American College Test(ACT).
3)   Begin Preparing Franklinton High School students for the AP Statistics Examination on   Thursday, 13 May 2021.

With these goals in mind, the grades for this class will be calculated as follows:

60% Tests/projects
40% Quiz Grades/Homework/In-Class assignments

There will be Classwork given on a daily basis. If you do not complete the problems in class, you should have them complete by the beginning of lass the next day. If you keep up with the classwork this class will be much easier for you.

You will need the following each day in class:

TI-84 or TI-83 Plus calculators will be used in this class. If you have your own you would like to use, please bring it to class. If not, I have a number of calculators to loan to students during class.  These are the calculators most in use in NC Colleges and Universities.

AP Exam Breakdown:

50% Free Response  (6 Questions)

Question 6 is worth twice the points of all other free response questions

Looking ahead to a return to in-class students:

You may have a clear bottle of water on your desk.  The cell phone that the student handbook says is not to be on in my classroom should be off.  Not on vibrate, not so it will light-up, off.  Please place everything else on the floor or under your desk as these items are not necessary for this class.
