1:15 LIVE SESSION  https://meet.google.com/lookup/ewsxv5rlca

2-2:30 classwork time

This class is designed for a three-fold purpose:

1) Prepare Franklin County High School students for rigorous college-level mathematics.
2) Prepare Franklin County High School students for the mathematics on the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) and the American College Test(ACT).
3) Prepare Franklin County High School students for the AP Calculus AB Examination on Tuesday, 4 May 2021.

With these goals in mind, the grades for this class will be calculated as follows:

60% Tests/Projects
40% Quiz Grades/Homework/In-Class assignments

There will be homework given on a daily basis. If you keep up with the classwork and assigned homework, this class will be much easier for you.

You will need the following each day in class:

Access to the live class: https://meet.google.com/lookup/ewsxv5rlca

1” (or larger) 3-ring binder with at least one divider
Paper for your binder
Pencil (both syllables, not just the first syllable)
Your assigned Calculus book

TI-84 or TI-83 Plus calculators will be used in this class. If you have your own you would like to use, please bring it to class. If not, I have a number of calculators to loan to students during class.  These are the calculators most in use in those Colleges and Universities.

There will be one Saturday class session sometime around the end of March/beginning of April. We will take a practice version of the AP exam at that time. Empirical evidence has shown that most every student who has taken this practice exam has scored well on the AP exam.

In anticipation to a return to school after the first 9-weeks:

You may have a clear bottle of water on your desk.  The cell phone that the student handbook says is not to be at school should be off.  Not on vibrate, not so it will light-up, off.  Please place everything else on the floor or under your desk as these items are not necessary for this class.
