Welcome to Ms. Bartlett's English II Course!

Students in English II explore the ways that audience, purpose, and context shape oral communication, written communication, and media and technology. While emphasis is placed on communicating for purposes of personal expression, students also engage in meaningful communication for other purposes. English II emphasizes grammar and language usage as important parts of communication. There is an English II end-of-course exam which focuses on reading literary and informational texts and demonstrating mastery of understanding through multiple choice responses, short answer written responses, and an essay response.
