Course Syllabus

Welcome to Math 1B at Bunn High School (grades 9 and 10)!

Teacher: Vicki Pritko

Math 1 is a state-mandated course with an EOC, so attendance is crucial.  In Math 1, students will build on their knowledge from the Foundations of Math 1 course.  The units covered during this semester will include exponents and radicals, quadratic functions, exponential functions, and statistics.  All course information can be found on CANVAS, which is located on the Franklin County website through your NC ED Login (the same as PowerSchool).

It is my goal to provide all students with an educationally challenging experience in my classroom.  In return, I expect students to participate in class, complete their assignments in a timely manner with quality, study for tests and quizzes, and ask for help when needed.

Note that homework will be given on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week.

Materials needed:

  • A 3-ring binder with 3 dividers labeled Warm-Ups/Homework, Notes/Classwork and Tests/Quizzes; loose-leaf paper (at least 3 packages); graph paper; pencils; and a good attitude.  Students may use a spiral notebook for notes, but still need loose-leaf paper for classwork.
    • Highly Recommended – TI-84 Calculator (Ti-84 Plus, TI-84 CE)

If the student is having problems with a certain topic, there are several ways to find help.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me.
