About the Course:
The purpose of Soar is multi-faceted. Students are assigned a soar class period during the time scheduled for a college class. One purpose of soar is to support student success in their college classes. To facilitate this, students will meet regularly with their soar teacher to discuss their college grades, high school grades, and any other related issues. This year, students may have live virtual college class meetings during soar class time. The second purpose of soar is for students to engage in social-emotional learning, study skills, and  life skills. Students will have weekly assignments and projects related to social-emotional learning, study skills, or life skills that will constitute their soar grade.

Overview:

The first part of the first semester will concentrate on activities and assignments based on our summer reading 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teenagers by Sean Covey (9th and 10th grade). After that, we will focus on various topics.

Students will access course information by clicking on Calendar, Modules, or Assignments.  Students will need their student number and password for NCEdcloud. If you have questions about the student login, please email me.
