Mission, Goals, and Objectives Mission - Develop citizens of character dedicated to serving their nation and community.  Goals - to instill values of citizenship, give service to the United States, develop a personal responsibility, and instill a sense of accomplishment in high school students.  Objective - to educate and train high school cadets in citizenship; promote community service; instill responsibility, character, and self-discipline; and provide instruction in air and space fundamentals.

 COURSE DESCRIPTION: 

Aerospace Science 300: Exploration of Space – We will study Space Exploration (Chapter 3), Space Programs (Chapter 4), Space Stations and Beyond (Chapter 5), Space Probes and Robotics (Chapter 6), Orbiting, Space Travel and Rockets (Chapter 7) and Cyber Security (Chapter 8).

Leadership Education 100: Traditions, Wellness, and Foundations of Citizenship: We will study the American Flag (Chapter 5, Lesson 1) and Introduction to JROTC Programs (Chapter 1). 

 Leadership Education 400: Principles of Leadership & Drill and Ceremonies – We will study Introduction to Management (Unit 1), Planning (Unit 2), Organizing (Unit 3) and Leading (Unit 4).  We also study drill and ceremonies.

Wellness Program: Physical Training (PT)  If it is determined it is safe to do so, we will conduct a Physical Fitness Test upon your return in October.  We will then do PT to improve your physical fitness and reassess at the end of the semester to measure your improvement.  A health assessment form must be filled out and signed by you and your parents/guardians before beginning the program. 

COURSE EVALUATION:

Tests & Quizzes will account for sixty percent of your grade (60%) and classwork will account for forty percent (40%) of your grade.
