¡Bienvenidos a "Español 1". This course will provide the basic skills of the Spanish language and Hispanic cultures. The four areas of proficiency - reading, writing, listening, and speaking- will be included.

Grading Distribution

40% test/presentation/projects     20% classwork/participation

30% quizzes                                 10% homework

Grading Scale

100-90 = A      89-80=B       79-70 = C         69-60 = D        Below 59 = F

Required Materials

  • Pencil / Pen
  • Loose leaf paper
  • 3 Ring-Binder with Tab Dividers
  • Chromebook

Class Expectations

  • Arrive on time-You need to be in your seat working on the warm up with your homework out before the bell rings.
  • Participate and pay attention!-You will learn more Spanish by participating.
  • Respect-Others, yourself, the teacher, the right of all to learn.

 Homework Each day’s homework assignments are posted on the board, including quiz/test dates and project due date. No bathroom. Emergency Only 

All make-up work is the responsibility of the student to get and turn in on time. See the green binder  for missed assignments. (2 days for every day missed).Students are expected to be in the classroom (passed the door frame) when the bell begins to ring. Tardiness students are expected to be in the classroom (passed the door frame) when the bell begins to ring. 

Late Work no late work will be accepted with the exception of projects which will receive a 10 point deduction for each day.

Cell phones and other electronic devices are not allow in this classroom
