Hello, I am Ms. Destini Davis and I am so excited to be teaching third grade math this year. This will be my 2nd year teaching here at Long Mill after graduating from NC A&T State University. I am thrilled to be doing it here at Long Mill Elementary School!

Important Updates:
Holiday (No School): May 30th
Read To Achieve/ Reading EOG Retake: June 1st 7:45 am (need chromebook & charger)
Field Day: June 3rd (parent volunteer form has been passed out)
Awards Day: June 6th: (3rd grade 12-12:45)
Last Day of School/ Report Cards: June 7th, early release 11:45am
EOG Math Retakes: June 8th,9th, or 10th (date will be shared soon)
Please note:
Every Friday, Reading and Math homework is due. Has to be turned in.
Arrival: 7:20 am Dismissal: 2:20 pm
Early Release Dismissal: 11:45 am
Masks are optional to enter the school.
The schedule for Remote Learning Days are posted on Google Classroom.
Water bottles are recommended. Water fountains will only be used to refill water bottles.
Instruction time will not be recorded and posted virtually.
Make sure you keep up those third grade skills and avoid summer sliding!
Virtual Learning Resources:
Smarty Ants/Achieve 3000 (Links to an external site.) This is for Early Reading/Comprehension skills practice.
Epic: Reading resource, a library of books. Operates during the school hours only.
Read Theory: Students are able to read passages and answer questions that quizzes their comprehension. : class code 6WERYY2N
Splash Learn: students are able to practice third grade math skills. There are engaging games available also.
Boddle Learning: New math program that is available all summer to keep math skills sharp. Student's log in info is on Google Classroom - Extra Practice tab.
