Classwork
All classwork will account for 40% of a student's grade. Classwork grades will include quizzes, INB checks, Coach book assignments, Canvas assignments, and Math centers.

Quizzes
Students can expect quizzes to be mostly announced and on Fridays, but surprise quizzes may happen at any time and cover current or previous topics. Quizzes are considered classwork grades.

Tests
Test grades from unit tests will account for 60% of a student's grade.
Unit tests are planned for the end of each unit and will only cover material taught during that unit.
Benchmark tests will occur roughly each 9 weeks and will cover material planned by the pacing guide for that 9 weeks.
EOG Tests are planned for approximately the last week of May/first week of June each year.

Test Corrections
Students will be given one week from the day a test is handed back to work on any missed items. They may obtain help from classmates, parents, or me (with an appointment), however, they must be sure they understand the concept of the item they missed. Students may earn back up to half of the points missed. (If a question is worth two points, they get one back. If the question is worth one point, they get a half point back, etc.)
Students will need to correct any missed items on notebook paper, showing any and all work used to correct the question. They will turn in the corrections to me and I will adjust the points in Canvas.

Study Guides
Students will be given a study guide at the end of each unit, typically about a week before the scheduled test. For shorter units, the time frame may change. Students will also be allowed to take home their INB to pair with their study guide for maximum review.
